This is from the resident evil 1 wiki:

"Additionally, the remake features many unlockable game modes, secrets, and various endings not found in the original. It also restores the George Trevor subplot, and splices other main characters of the Resident Evil games, such as William Birkin and Alexia Ashford into the game's backstory."

Uh no. Rapeconning is not the same as restoring. William Birkin, the Ashfords, George Trevor and Lisa Trevor were never in the storyline, save for Birkin, who was put into the game in RE2 but had no listed significance until, surprise, the entire backstory for the franchise was retconned, aka rapeconned, in, starting with REmake for GC 6 years after the game came out. And the Ashfords were put in when CV came out for Dreamcast but none of it was preconceived.

You can't restore something that never existed. Show me Capcom documents that can be scientifically proven dating from 1995 when Resident Evil was in progress detailing the involvement of the Trevors in the Spencer Mansion, or Wesker being a clone, or Wesker being a colleague of Birkin, and I'll believe you. You can't because they don't exist, thus why I hate Capcom, but if you prove it then maybe.

At least they don't lie about the other things being retconned though.

Hello grenadeh,

on some Resident Evil pictures you put Rebecca the "R.P.D." letters on her outfits (and you forgot the dots). Unfortunately this is wrong, because she is a member of S.T.A.R.S. bravo team.

Please don´t be angry, I just want to mention, because I am a very big fan of Resident Evil and maybe you just don´t know, so that I thought I tell you. Please don´t think I am a know-it-all.

Film D is found in the S.T.A.R.S Office in Resident Evil 2, PC, original, and dual shock versions, by examining Wesker's desk 60 consecutive times.

Film D develops into a photo of Rebecca Chambers (it is well established and officially supported by Capcom that this is Rebecca) in a basketball uniform which clearly says RPD on the chest. It is filed away under the blue file book in your inventory. As for the last period after the D, this is missing and you are right about that.

Okay, you´re right and I am wrong. I never intend to collect all files throughout the games and so I missed that one, because I don´t have the strategy guide either. I have RE 2 only for Ninendo GameCube, but I check out, if is possible to get that file in the GC version, too.

Thank you for the hint and the link.

I think it's there in every version, I've never played the Gamecube port of RE2 so I can only assume. :)
